My husband and I stopped here for a quick coffee to go. We were in a bit of a hurry so that was unfortunate that we couldn't stay longer and enjoy the atmosphere. Coffee was delicious, staff was friendly, and service was quick. Will definitely be back when we have some more time to hang out and check out more of the menu!
Its was a great spot to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Good coffee and muffins. The inside was interesting.
Lovely place in Punta Gorda to chill. They had books, awesome air conditioning and the transformed train station also doubles into a museum. Drink prices were kind of high 10 to 12$ just for a chai latte.. but for the environment it was cool. Out door seating for dogs as well!
This is the place! WOW!! What a great place. The owners Ryan and his wife who are locals to the area have done a great job repurposing this place. From the customer service to just the great ambiance of this place is mind blowing. If you want a place to just chill or have a meeting with a client or just have some time to kill stop in. You will fall in love. Thank you Ryan and to your wife for opening this place. The community needs more places like this that revolves around socializing and meeting face to face with people. Wow this place is amazing so much history and energy in there. It’s like stepping back in time and the coffee was great.
Google directions couldn't get us there, kept going into other parking lots. We saw the old train station that looked really cool and finally figured out it was actually the kava bar and not a train station then we made our way to the corner of taylor and carmelita and found the little road driveway. It did not disappoint in any aspect. Loved the kava, kratom drinks and the golden milk latte was amazing as well. Love the atmosphere inside and outside. Wish we had one of these on the east coast of Florida. Stuart would be a great location, hint hint.
As someone who works in and spends a lot of free time around the Kava bar community, I’d say that this is by far the most unique I’ve been to! I very much love that it’s in such a cool historical building. It’s clear that the owners put in a lot of effort to make the inside a very comfortable place, while tastefully maintaining the historic look. The drinks are also great! The menu options are all really solid and the kavatenders put a lot of effort into the presentation of the drinks; ie toppings and garnishes. Lang is usually behind the bar when I’m in there and he’s always fun to chat with!
This place is like a mullet. Conservative in the front, party in the back. It’s in the back of a historical train station that still has signs of segregation on the front facade. Cool place. Great kava.
I travel to Florida quite a bit (Live in Ohio). Back in February of 2025 when I was coming down here, I was looking for things to do that didn’t involve alcohol as I quit drinking. Found this place online and I thought it was just a juice bar or something like that. Which sounded cool, so went to check it out. I show up and the staff were super friendly and explained to me what kava and kratom were. Gave it a shot and absolutely loved it. The drinks were delicious and I felt great! Just very calm and social. So I’d stop in here every day while I was here. So in October of 2025 I came down to Florida again and of course I had to come back! Got to know the staff more and they are just the absolute nicest people who can talk about anything and everything. I felt so welcomed. Well I’m back down in Florida currently (January 2026) and you already know what my first stop was! Currently enjoying some great drinks. Give this place a shot! You won’t regret it!
It was such a great experience! We went for karaoke night and had an amazing time. The coffee was great, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the overall vibe made for a perfect night out. Definitely recommend checking it out!
